- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 well-beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
Melt chocolate and shortening over hot water; pour in sugar. Stir until smooth. Add eggs; beat. Add sifted flour and salt; beat. Stir in peanut butter, leaving tiny lumps. Pour batter into well-greased 8 or 9-inch square pan. Bake in 350-degree oven for 25 minutes or until done. Cut into squares while warm.
Yield: 12 squares.
